 EAT! 2018 Trader Terms & Conditions



  1. Payment must be made by the due date on your invoice. BACS is the preferred method of payment although cheques will be accepted on request.
  2. Payment must be made in full
  3. If payment is not received by stipulated dates the stall offer will be automatically withdrawn and the pitch will be reallocated to an alternative trader.
  4. 50% refund will be made if cancellation to trade is received before 1st June 2018. NO REFUNDS will be given if after this date.
  5. No rebates will be given to traders as a result of bad weather.
  6. The festival will not accept responsibility for the level of trading during the event.



  1. The Licence to trade for EAT! 2018 is from 11am-6.00pm 28th & 29th July 2018.
  2. Traders must only sell goods specified in their trade contract.
  4. Management reserves the right to reallocate or re site stalls.
  5. The entrance gates for traders open at 8am on Friday 27th July 2018. All traders will be allocated a stall number, allocated entrance and arrival/set up time slot one week prior to the event.
  6. Pack down commences from 6.15pm on Sunday 29th July.



  1. On site parking will be provided for all traders and support vehicles
  2. Traders must co-operate fully with Festival Staff directing traders to their stall for offloading and parking directions.
  3. Vehicle movement MUST be kept to a minimum as the site is a public park and members of the public will be in the vicinity. The on site speed limit of 5mph with hazard lights on must be observed at all times.
  4. All vehicles brought on-site must be suitably insured.
  5. All vehicles are brought on-site at the risk of the trader. The festival cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur.
  6. No animals are allowed on-site with traders.
  7. The use of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited for any person working or driving. The Road Traffic Act does apply on-site and it is just as much an offence to drive under the influence on-site as it is on a public road. Offenders will be reported to the police.
  8. Vehicles are allowed back on site for pack down and de-rigging from 6.15pm on Sunday 29th July.



  1. EAT! will provide electricity on request for traders. There will be additional charges for this supply.
  2. NO GENERATORS are allowed on-site without prior agreement from EAT! Food Festival management team.
  3. Traders who pull more power than they have contractually agreed will be closed down and must cease trading. No refund will be given.
  4. A communal water standpipe will be provided.
  5. Trade Waste disposable facilities/area will be provided.



  1. Your stall is subject to inspection by members of EAT! Food Festival’s own safety team as well as by Local Authority Environmental Health Officers. Traders must comply with general legislation relating to Health & Safety. This means working safely to build and dismantle the pitch as well as compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
  2. Written Food Safety Management Procedures are required by law. These must be available for inspection at all times.
  3. All traders must produce a Fire Risk Assessment of their operation, which shall include information on preventing fire and action to be taken if a fire breaks out. You will be required to provide your own extinguishers, signs, training etc.
  4. Traders must be prepared for all weather conditions.
  5. ALL traders must provide proof of Employers Liability and Public Liability Insurance. Food traders are required to carry £5 million cover and non-food £1 million Public Liability cover.
  6. Food traders must be registered with their own Local Authority.
  7. Traders MUST complete the Traders Checklist, which will be sent by email prior to the event and returned by 30th June 2018.




If a trader is closed down and/or evicted from site for contravening the licence, any of the above Terms and Conditions or Environmental Health Standards, they shall not be entitled to any rebate.
